CREATING MEANING

a sign can be any physical form to which we give meaning, including words,pictures,colours,clothes,etc.

Denotation=the dictionary definition.

Connotation=the deeper meaning-what we associate with the world.

Gun connontates death and war maybe suicide 

A clown connote scary fear or horror

lo: to analyse texts using the correct terminology

the image shows mini ice cubes because they are advertising the new pepsi cans 

the background is very intense war as a guy is holding a beam of light his body language the colours are quite dark and gloomy. i think the guy with the beam of light is the main character and the guy in the background might be the villain because its dark and scary.
