Last night at 11;15 Pm Bodmin jail which has been newly refurbished has caught fire.

The cell block being terribly damaged due to the raging fire. 3 fire engines had to be dispatched immediately .

fire was not put out until 6:15 this morning. 6 people were rescued by the firefighters from the restaurant area. 2 people were swiftly taken to hospital 1 having serious burns. investigations are still continuing
